Vinyl (PVC) polymers contain plasticizers that make the film pliable. Aggressive organic solvents like Sodium Hypochlorite Bleach (5%–10%) extract plasticizers from the vinyl matrix, causing the film to swell, wrinkle, and soften the underlying acrylic adhesive.
